WICE Workshop on Communications and Professional Development

The ComSoc Women in Communications Engineering (WICE) invites you to participate in a full day workshop, which will take place in conjunction with the IEEE GLOBECOM conference on 9 December 2019.

The workshop will feature professional training and mentoring as well as technical interactions of participants with common research interests. It will be a day of learning and networking!

Diversity and Inclusion in the IEEE

This session will discuss how the IEEE can foster diversity and inclusion in our activities.  In particular, we will discuss what we can do to recruit minority and female members and help them in their careers.  This will include, how can we help our female members prosper in their workplaces and how to make technology work more welcoming to women and provide them opportunities to grow in the engineering and technology communities.

IEEE GLOBECOM 2019 Networking Event

This networking event is a half-day golf outing organized for the attendees of IEEE GLOBECOM 2019 including speakers, listeners, committee members, industry forum sponsors, exhibitors, staff and anyone who is involved in this conference and who loves to play golf. This is the first ever golf networking event for IEEE GLOBECOM and we hope the participants enjoy an extra day of the Big Island by “having a ball” and networking with peers.
