IEEE Globecom 2019 provides an attractive Industry Program, which features Keynote Talks, Executive Forum, Panels, Seminars, Demos and Exhibits, and Podium Presentations.
Panels, held during the conference program in parallel with regular technical sessions, bring together speakers from industry and academia to discuss a timely and relevant topic of interest to conference participants.
Please address proposals and questions to the Industry Panels Chair, Vishnu Shukla, at vishnu.shukla.us@ieee.org. The proposal deadline is June 1, 2019 June 28, 2019.
Guidelines
The proposal for a Panel should follow the template indicating the following information:
- Proposer information (name, affiliation, email address, telephone number)
- Title, Motivation and Background
- List of 5 questions to be discussed/answered in the panel
- Names, affiliations, brief bios, and presentation titles of panelists (to the extent already available)
- The proposal may be in MS word or pdf format
Structure
- Panel should not have more than 4 participants, plus the moderator
- the organizer serves as the moderator.
- the organizer should prepare in advance a few questions on the panel topic and give them in advance
- the panel occupies one session timeslot, i.e., 90 minutes
- the moderator gives a 10-minute presentation at the beginning of the panel, to introduce the topic
- Participants should each give a 10-minute presentation with a small number of slides.

Evaluation
The following criteria will be taken into consideration for the evaluation, and ranking of Panels’ proposals:
- Relevance
- Timeliness
- Quality of the content
The Industry Forum and exhibition and the Industry Porgram Chairs will conduct the evaluation.

Oct. 15, 2019: Slides submission
Registration
A panelist attending only for the day of the panel will get a free One Day Registration. If attendance is for more than the day of the panel, a panelist will have to pay for a regular conference registration.
